i managed to avoid injury in the run up to my first marathon.&lt;br&gt;
i concentrated on lots of hill work to build up my stamina. it was knackering but it paid off!&lt;br&gt;

Readers, I can testify to Runnerbean's slim physique and renewed running vigour as I have seen him. There is no stopping him now. &lt;br&gt;

I hope those new shoes are comfortable and the marathon training is going well. Make sure you are getting your carbs ;-)&lt;br&gt;
